All BIO prefixed courses must be completed within 7 years prior to entry. Acceptance into the Nursing Program is contingent upon attaining a minimum grade of “C” for each prerequisite courses and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above in prerequisite courses.

BIO 204 - Microbiology: SC1 Credits: 4(3-1)

Note:  BIO 204 may be taken prior to admission to the nursing program OR during the first (1st) semester of the nursing program.

BIO 216 - Pathophysiology Credits: 4(3-1)

Note:  BIO 216 must be taken prior to entering the second year of the nursing program.  This course requires prerequisites of BIO 201 and BIO 202. 

MAT 103 - Math for Clinical Calculations Credits: 3(3-0)

Note:  MAT 103 may be taken prior to admission to the nursing program OR during the first (1st) semester of the nursing program. 

 

Humanities or Social & Behavioral Science (3 credits required).  These 3 credits must be completed prior to the end of the last semester of the A.D.N. program.

**Licensed Practical Nurses and students who have exited the first year of a nursing program and who have not completed NUR 150 - Obstetric and Pediatric Nursing or equivalent, must complete NUR 189 Transition from LPN to ADN to qualify for entry into the RN year of the program.
