Applied Technology, A.A.S.

This program is part of a statewide articulation agreement that allows Area Vocational Technical College (AVTS) graduates to transfer up to 45 credits to a community college toward the completion of an AAS degree in Applied Technology. 

Students can also stack LCC CTE Certificates from the following options:

 

Option 1: Precision Agriculture (28 credits) and either Construction Trades Essential (16 credits), or Welding Basic (16 credits) (See  Precision Agriculture Certificate,  Construction Trades Essential Certificate, or Welding) Basic Certificate 

 

Option 2: IT Certificate (30 credits) and either Construction Trades Essential (16 credits), or Welding Basic (16 credits) (See IT Certificate, Construction Trades Essential Cerificate, or Welding Basic Certificate)

 

The program requires the completion of an additional 15-16 general education credits at LCC.

Students who complete this program will:

1. Have demonstrable entry-level skills aligned with their chosen technical profession.
2.  Acquire General Education Core skills for Written Communication, Oral Communication, Mathematics, Natural & Physical Sciences, and Social & Behavioral Sciences

General Education: (15 credits)


A grade of “C” or higher is required to successfully complete all Guaranteed Transfer (GT) courses.

Written Communication: (3 Credits)


Oral Communication: (3 Credits)


Mathematics: (3 credits)

Electives: (45 credits)

Transfer of up to 45 credits from area technical college coursework completed with a “C” or better grade.  If student has earned less than minimum 45 CTE credits, LCC elective courses will be required to reach the necessary credits for degree completion.
