NUR 206 - Advanced Concepts of Medical Surgical Nursing IICredits: 8(3-.5-4.5) Focuses on the role of the registered professional nurse as care provider, teacher, manager, professional, and advocate in meeting the nursing needs of adults across the life span. Utilizing the nursing process, the student is expected to integrate previous learning to assist the patient and family in achieving optimal functioning in various health care settings. 8 Credits (3 credits theory = 45 contact hours, .5 credits lab = 15 contact hours and 4.5 credits clinical = 135 contact hours).
