PSY 265 - Psychology of Personality Credits: 3(3-0) Examines the structure, function, and development of personality. Investigates the major contemporary theories of personality. Covers psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive-social learning, humanistic, trait, and, optionally, neurobiological, existential, and/or Eastern perspectives. The underlying assumptions and research support for these theories will be appraised. Enables the student to gain an appreciation of the value of alternative theoretical approaches to this subfield of psychology. Prerequisite(s): PSY 101 or PSY 102 or instructor permission.
